事情是這樣的 小弟目前是一年經驗的H/W QA
之前公司有個FAE離職 剛好小弟我有跟他那組的幾個RD合作過
所以之間都不錯 他們就問我有沒有想要來接FAE的位子

, L- u1 p" j7 }: l; ]他們老闆竟然也說 ok  內轉想來就來壓 我一定說ok的 只要他老闆同意讓他來
雖然心裡當然是想 但是FAE是在做什麼我根本不知道
1 Y3 {; G' ]8 R只知道要去客戶那邊被定(??  因為小弟只是私立後段的學士而已

要學歷沒學歷 要專業沒專業 英文也是不太行
去那邊不就是死路一條!  還是說可以過去那邊邊做邊學

1.schematic review and design
3 i: A, ]6 ~8 L* C原廠會提供參考線路及檢查要點，這參考線路通常都是由AE來設計，除此之外客戶
也會修改參考線路，所以還要針對客戶修改的線路加以檢查。
2.layout review
) I7 n/ s7 e% D+ M/ |原廠也會提供參考的layout及檢查的要點，例如一些高速的匯流排及電源走線
都要特別注意，常常會影響晶片的性能。
: c+ Y: ?- Q& N) C* n3.Firmware/Software/Driver development
現在的IC公司基本上也要提供軟韌體的開發範例，這些範例也是由AE所開發出來的。
4.Training
教育訓練，原廠AE很多機會對代理商及客戶進行產品訓練及展示。有些時候AE也會與

IC廠會有許多的文件需要撰寫，包含datasheet，使用手冊...等，這些文件也是由AE

AE所需的技能：
1.學習能力
根據不同的客戶需求，常常需要開發各種不同的應用，因此常常需要學習新的領域。
快速的學習能力會是很重要的一個因素。

不同於R&D，AE有很多的時間是在與別人溝通。對內要與sales, marketing, PM, R&D等
溝通，對外要與客戶的R&D, PM或是合作廠商及代理商等溝通。良好的溝通能力會讓你的
7 z" F4 Q0 ?4 F+ }+ L2 z$ ^& ^工作事半功倍。
7 m. j, `8 f7 w; U4 q3 V: ]5 y+ i+ A3.語言能力
無論是台灣或是外國的IC廠商，英語能力都是不可或缺的必備能力。無論是聽說讀寫都
7 O% M! o0 W. v. c' R會常常使用到。不需要文辭優美文法正確，只要敢說敢講就可。
4.EQ能力
AE是第一線的作戰人員，常常有機會會受到客戶或是內部的合理或是不合理責難。這時候
; U/ P* C* m4 N) B; U4 X5 X5 A良好的EQ會是很重要的一個因素。此外不同於R&D，很多案子常常執行到一半就取消，會
常常有做白工的狀況，適時的調適自己的心情也是很重要的。
5.多工及管理能力
通常一個AE同時會要支援數個案子，所以如何有效的管理手上的案子，依照重要性來分配

AE的背景與出路：
背景：
目前觀察到的普遍來說AE的資歷都是比較淺的，很多同事都是在系統廠或是IC廠工作兩到
三年後轉職過來。如果是國外更是常常看到大學剛畢業就去做AE。以AE的工作性質還蠻適
合新人來試試看。可以了解IC產業的運作模式，及學習到許多新的知識。
出路：
AE的出路很廣，想往技術方面發展可以轉往系統廠或IC廠做software/hardware的R&D，想
往行銷方面發展也可以轉去做sales/marketing，想往管理方面發展也可以轉去做PM。而且
AE相對來說認識的人面也會比廣，只要做的好轉職會很容易。
, j4 L% ~5 `$ T. H( x- Y薪水：
一般來說AE的薪水在IC廠內是比較低的，一般來說外商的職缺薪水排名會如下：

5 O! V6 m' x/ M1 g- l不過相對來說外商的AE進入難度也是這些職缺裡面最低的。

當初怎麼進來的? 我自己也很納悶 也感到很幸運

' x. Z$ l1 [& x! G7 z那時大學4年肄業 對於本科電子沒興趣 所以毅然決然的就去當兵了

當兵前等到入伍的前兩個月 去家父任職的建築公司打工

每天8點前到工地 然後就是帶客戶看屋 驗屋 然後記錄需要改進

% t  x( P& F, \或是客戶要求的事項 總之就像是工頭啦

雖然日曬雨林的 有時候中飯時間還會被屋主Call回去看屋

然後時間到了就國軍Online了

在面試這間公司的時候 沒考試 就只是跟主管聊天而已

聊的內容不外乎 學歷啦 動機啦 家庭背景 和一些基本專業知識

專業知識也只問了一個Reset的問題 大概是我答的很快吧

FAE做什麼? 我公司大概就是對內 畫電路 對電路 Layout 焊接 和軟韌體溝通及測試

總要想個光明正大的理由讓客戶覺得有在做只是因為...而拖延了

有時候又要在Sales和RD中間取得平衡 讓雙方都可以接受

因此會交際和實力一樣重要

有實力不會交際的FAE 只會被交付一些不重要的打雜工作

或是很賽客戶很刁的案子 要不就是負責的全是一些不重要的產品

$ P3 N. H, j+ q, i3 X  ]7 D因此想步入FAE的 先想想自己的交際能力如何 喇賽功力強不強

FAE需要的專業?

零件的工作原理! 如何用最小最便宜的料件去兜成你所需要的電路

$ x; E+ J$ G4 H$ G2 q2 ^看的懂SPEC 可以減少很多設計和Debug的時間

+ B9 e. M3 |' j專業知識夠的 可以用最少的時間用最適合的料件

4 x  t. r6 a" H, J: b專業不夠的用以前的電路去兜 或是用最常見的也都是可以

0 q$ C* l) T8 D1 M* P- e5 U差別只是在時間和成本 你的老闆重不重視就要看命了!!!

嘴砲技能點滿的 只要東西會動都是可以交差的

所以最需要的專業 應該是嘴砲技能...XD

1 R8 @7 H  I3 U- h看自己要不要去更精進 英文能力好的 看的懂Code的

加上人面廣要Sample時能很快的入手需求料件
: o( b. A! X8 j2 q9 @$ |2 M% g
以上三點是最主要的發展方向

1 o- L0 B8 Y8 A若是腦經靈活 常常能想出不一樣的方法來解決問題 這點更是重要

因為有時候RD寫Code只會照著原本Rule來寫

若是能適時的提點RD 或是在硬體上Cover RD
