事情是這樣的 小弟目前是一年經驗的H/W QA
+ e7 R; a5 z6 }之前公司有個FAE離職 剛好小弟我有跟他那組的幾個RD合作過
2 Z' _, U, ]: u& t% h' A$ w5 f) T所以之間都不錯 他們就問我有沒有想要來接FAE的位子

  I4 ~% k5 R+ m1 T他們老闆竟然也說 ok  內轉想來就來壓 我一定說ok的 只要他老闆同意讓他來
雖然心裡當然是想 但是FAE是在做什麼我根本不知道
5 k: }. b* S% \) G- p8 Q/ R只知道要去客戶那邊被定(??  因為小弟只是私立後段的學士而已

原廠會提供參考線路及檢查要點，這參考線路通常都是由AE來設計，除此之外客戶
也會修改參考線路，所以還要針對客戶修改的線路加以檢查。

7 |1 g0 z+ m* u- b( O& B6 w原廠也會提供參考的layout及檢查的要點，例如一些高速的匯流排及電源走線
都要特別注意，常常會影響晶片的性能。

" }7 c0 r8 N9 m. w2 c' R- C現在的IC公司基本上也要提供軟韌體的開發範例，這些範例也是由AE所開發出來的。

教育訓練，原廠AE很多機會對代理商及客戶進行產品訓練及展示。有些時候AE也會與
sales/marketing配合到客戶端去推銷產品。
5.Documentation
IC廠會有許多的文件需要撰寫，包含datasheet，使用手冊...等，這些文件也是由AE
所提供出來的。此外也很多機會在一些雜誌及報紙上發表技術文章。

AE所需的技能：
1.學習能力
根據不同的客戶需求，常常需要開發各種不同的應用，因此常常需要學習新的領域。
* b# U- K  {6 V1 y+ A0 b6 U快速的學習能力會是很重要的一個因素。

不同於R&D，AE有很多的時間是在與別人溝通。對內要與sales, marketing, PM, R&D等
( W$ H4 B- a0 `4 D溝通，對外要與客戶的R&D, PM或是合作廠商及代理商等溝通。良好的溝通能力會讓你的
- ]" B* q  Y! E1 S2 u, f8 h工作事半功倍。
% |6 [) w. z7 ]3.語言能力
1 ^/ X- y: \9 E% A* N1 [無論是台灣或是外國的IC廠商，英語能力都是不可或缺的必備能力。無論是聽說讀寫都
會常常使用到。不需要文辭優美文法正確，只要敢說敢講就可。
' M8 }/ p+ E& a2 F+ B" S4.EQ能力
AE是第一線的作戰人員，常常有機會會受到客戶或是內部的合理或是不合理責難。這時候
良好的EQ會是很重要的一個因素。此外不同於R&D，很多案子常常執行到一半就取消，會
常常有做白工的狀況，適時的調適自己的心情也是很重要的。

通常一個AE同時會要支援數個案子，所以如何有效的管理手上的案子，依照重要性來分配
時間及資源也是很重要的。

AE的背景與出路：

目前觀察到的普遍來說AE的資歷都是比較淺的，很多同事都是在系統廠或是IC廠工作兩到
三年後轉職過來。如果是國外更是常常看到大學剛畢業就去做AE。以AE的工作性質還蠻適
! V9 S6 K3 b8 N6 @% E7 ]) T! \0 B合新人來試試看。可以了解IC產業的運作模式，及學習到許多新的知識。
/ S! }2 R' P, W/ k出路：
AE的出路很廣，想往技術方面發展可以轉往系統廠或IC廠做software/hardware的R&D，想
* ]6 \7 ?- O% |( a" N3 z( x往行銷方面發展也可以轉去做sales/marketing，想往管理方面發展也可以轉去做PM。而且
3 Z: m# k. ]; yAE相對來說認識的人面也會比廣，只要做的好轉職會很容易。
薪水：
一般來說AE的薪水在IC廠內是比較低的，一般來說外商的職缺薪水排名會如下：
sales > marketing >= FAE > AE
不過相對來說外商的AE進入難度也是這些職缺裡面最低的。

以上是一般IC廠的AE資訊，系統廠的AE又會有不同的角色及工作內容，有待有經驗者分享

當初怎麼進來的? 我自己也很納悶 也感到很幸運

4 ~# [" \! t% Q+ j0 h那時大學4年肄業 對於本科電子沒興趣 所以毅然決然的就去當兵了

當兵前等到入伍的前兩個月 去家父任職的建築公司打工

每天8點前到工地 然後就是帶客戶看屋 驗屋 然後記錄需要改進

或是客戶要求的事項 總之就像是工頭啦

雖然日曬雨林的 有時候中飯時間還會被屋主Call回去看屋

但是由於會接觸到各式各樣的人 其實也算收穫頗多

然後時間到了就國軍Online了

錄取這間公司也算是蠻有趣的一個過程

8 R6 u2 \. b0 |% Z4 v當初有兩間公司開了Offer給我 一個是某認證實驗室 另一個就是這間House

在面試這間公司的時候 沒考試 就只是跟主管聊天而已

聊的內容不外乎 學歷啦 動機啦 家庭背景 和一些基本專業知識

' o" X1 A" s( L- @8 @6 n專業知識也只問了一個Reset的問題 大概是我答的很快吧

大頭很快的就給了口頭Offer 也就結束這個愉快的面試

FAE做什麼? 我公司大概就是對內 畫電路 對電路 Layout 焊接 和軟韌體溝通及測試

對外的話就是去客戶那邊協助Debug 規畫硬體設計 以及通過相關認證

還有就是個人負責項目 主要就這3大類 總之就是打雜的

我剛進公司的第一年真的就是打雜的 前輩做什麼就跟著做

6 K0 b/ t$ L" L6 r. H在旁邊多看多問 或是幫忙做 這樣會上手的很快

FAE不比一般RD只要把Code寫出來就好 會說話會溝通很重要

9 Y$ w! }& o% M! L由於有時候要幫忙Handle RD寫不出來時去跟客戶協調

總要想個光明正大的理由讓客戶覺得有在做只是因為...而拖延了

有時候又要在Sales和RD中間取得平衡 讓雙方都可以接受

% M6 K7 s/ E. y6 ^因此會交際和實力一樣重要

有實力不會交際的FAE 只會被交付一些不重要的打雜工作

或是很賽客戶很刁的案子 要不就是負責的全是一些不重要的產品

因此想步入FAE的 先想想自己的交際能力如何 喇賽功力強不強

再來才是考慮自己的專業能力夠不夠

FAE需要的專業?

- S8 R& X5 L( @8 ?4 pFAE可以說是最不需要也最需要的工作

# [; o3 E8 \4 w零件的工作原理! 如何用最小最便宜的料件去兜成你所需要的電路

1 p& D; M  }: R看的懂SPEC 可以減少很多設計和Debug的時間

; q0 h* [/ @( {+ X+ q( }) m專業知識夠的 可以用最少的時間用最適合的料件
& {4 W9 y5 l& `3 l
專業不夠的用以前的電路去兜 或是用最常見的也都是可以

差別只是在時間和成本 你的老闆重不重視就要看命了!!!

嘴砲技能點滿的 只要東西會動都是可以交差的

1 U7 p% M( d# C7 I' g& o- x$ _所以最需要的專業 應該是嘴砲技能...XD

FAE的發展

由於 FAE接觸的層面很廣 能學到的東西相對的非常多

看自己要不要去更精進 英文能力好的 看的懂Code的

6 h  c( N: E8 j: {1 a2 d3 E9 I% V加上人面廣要Sample時能很快的入手需求料件

以上三點是最主要的發展方向

9 |( W2 w# j" R2 i' m- y若是腦經靈活 常常能想出不一樣的方法來解決問題 這點更是重要

因為有時候RD寫Code只會照著原本Rule來寫

6 C9 V7 f5 S  _" [若是能適時的提點RD 或是在硬體上Cover RD
