之前公司有個FAE離職 剛好小弟我有跟他那組的幾個RD合作過
所以之間都不錯 他們就問我有沒有想要來接FAE的位子

他們老闆竟然也說 ok  內轉想來就來壓 我一定說ok的 只要他老闆同意讓他來
0 w* H- e6 Y: Q: U% w雖然心裡當然是想 但是FAE是在做什麼我根本不知道
0 N+ O. U4 H+ F. R只知道要去客戶那邊被定(??  因為小弟只是私立後段的學士而已

要學歷沒學歷 要專業沒專業 英文也是不太行
去那邊不就是死路一條!  還是說可以過去那邊邊做邊學

3 X  }) \! |" e8 n$ ?原廠會提供參考線路及檢查要點，這參考線路通常都是由AE來設計，除此之外客戶
也會修改參考線路，所以還要針對客戶修改的線路加以檢查。
2.layout review
原廠也會提供參考的layout及檢查的要點，例如一些高速的匯流排及電源走線
# b6 R6 u3 t; u8 m4 ~3 y都要特別注意，常常會影響晶片的性能。
' _% e! ?( b0 c8 g* n  H8 G  J1 O' [3.Firmware/Software/Driver development
現在的IC公司基本上也要提供軟韌體的開發範例，這些範例也是由AE所開發出來的。

+ b1 c6 `5 D4 `/ K9 i+ Y/ q教育訓練，原廠AE很多機會對代理商及客戶進行產品訓練及展示。有些時候AE也會與
sales/marketing配合到客戶端去推銷產品。

IC廠會有許多的文件需要撰寫，包含datasheet，使用手冊...等，這些文件也是由AE
所提供出來的。此外也很多機會在一些雜誌及報紙上發表技術文章。

AE所需的技能：

$ A  x  H( B  O' m根據不同的客戶需求，常常需要開發各種不同的應用，因此常常需要學習新的領域。
5 g0 C% W7 a& J: s' _快速的學習能力會是很重要的一個因素。
2.溝通能力
# v( Q: n+ @! K0 u5 M不同於R&D，AE有很多的時間是在與別人溝通。對內要與sales, marketing, PM, R&D等
溝通，對外要與客戶的R&D, PM或是合作廠商及代理商等溝通。良好的溝通能力會讓你的
- \4 C; ]8 }% v: F工作事半功倍。
3.語言能力
( }( Y+ `; q* t* \- v3 g# ^無論是台灣或是外國的IC廠商，英語能力都是不可或缺的必備能力。無論是聽說讀寫都
會常常使用到。不需要文辭優美文法正確，只要敢說敢講就可。
, \* A; o- s  j- q/ l  y4.EQ能力
# D/ ^) @& r" f3 EAE是第一線的作戰人員，常常有機會會受到客戶或是內部的合理或是不合理責難。這時候
良好的EQ會是很重要的一個因素。此外不同於R&D，很多案子常常執行到一半就取消，會
常常有做白工的狀況，適時的調適自己的心情也是很重要的。

通常一個AE同時會要支援數個案子，所以如何有效的管理手上的案子，依照重要性來分配
時間及資源也是很重要的。

AE的背景與出路：
背景：
3 J/ K, }4 a" G+ T" y目前觀察到的普遍來說AE的資歷都是比較淺的，很多同事都是在系統廠或是IC廠工作兩到
' R8 x# S% G( L三年後轉職過來。如果是國外更是常常看到大學剛畢業就去做AE。以AE的工作性質還蠻適
合新人來試試看。可以了解IC產業的運作模式，及學習到許多新的知識。
& i' z/ J8 J+ e7 N. J0 t3 G出路：
' \0 |/ v& t: EAE的出路很廣，想往技術方面發展可以轉往系統廠或IC廠做software/hardware的R&D，想
往行銷方面發展也可以轉去做sales/marketing，想往管理方面發展也可以轉去做PM。而且
AE相對來說認識的人面也會比廣，只要做的好轉職會很容易。
薪水：
1 B4 @. c# N9 A. g$ f一般來說AE的薪水在IC廠內是比較低的，一般來說外商的職缺薪水排名會如下：

不過相對來說外商的AE進入難度也是這些職缺裡面最低的。

以上是一般IC廠的AE資訊，系統廠的AE又會有不同的角色及工作內容，有待有經驗者分享

當初怎麼進來的? 我自己也很納悶 也感到很幸運

每天8點前到工地 然後就是帶客戶看屋 驗屋 然後記錄需要改進

錄取這間公司也算是蠻有趣的一個過程

在面試這間公司的時候 沒考試 就只是跟主管聊天而已

大頭很快的就給了口頭Offer 也就結束這個愉快的面試

FAE做什麼? 我公司大概就是對內 畫電路 對電路 Layout 焊接 和軟韌體溝通及測試

. t) p7 x2 L1 a對外的話就是去客戶那邊協助Debug 規畫硬體設計 以及通過相關認證

還有就是個人負責項目 主要就這3大類 總之就是打雜的

我剛進公司的第一年真的就是打雜的 前輩做什麼就跟著做

在旁邊多看多問 或是幫忙做 這樣會上手的很快

FAE不比一般RD只要把Code寫出來就好 會說話會溝通很重要

由於有時候要幫忙Handle RD寫不出來時去跟客戶協調

總要想個光明正大的理由讓客戶覺得有在做只是因為...而拖延了

7 R$ k* G; e3 X9 g& c! r7 w有時候又要在Sales和RD中間取得平衡 讓雙方都可以接受

) Y* Z, J: Y, Y( K" K因此會交際和實力一樣重要

+ q+ g( E" Z/ S! D7 ?$ o有實力不會交際的FAE 只會被交付一些不重要的打雜工作

或是很賽客戶很刁的案子 要不就是負責的全是一些不重要的產品

因此想步入FAE的 先想想自己的交際能力如何 喇賽功力強不強

FAE需要的專業?

# f! B, m! w+ HFAE可以說是最不需要也最需要的工作

零件的工作原理! 如何用最小最便宜的料件去兜成你所需要的電路
& {5 \: h: d/ o: E7 x- F
看的懂SPEC 可以減少很多設計和Debug的時間

. z" r) u3 a$ F' Y( I7 R專業知識夠的 可以用最少的時間用最適合的料件

3 C6 L; ^9 G, x專業不夠的用以前的電路去兜 或是用最常見的也都是可以

差別只是在時間和成本 你的老闆重不重視就要看命了!!!

嘴砲技能點滿的 只要東西會動都是可以交差的

所以最需要的專業 應該是嘴砲技能...XD

由於 FAE接觸的層面很廣 能學到的東西相對的非常多

8 m  C* C& Q& V- C6 D% r- t" N看自己要不要去更精進 英文能力好的 看的懂Code的
$ Z4 q0 a6 y, H! N/ _- t
5 D( [6 a/ M5 h加上人面廣要Sample時能很快的入手需求料件
* T9 B* y/ X2 b1 u5 ~( G
以上三點是最主要的發展方向
. h% o/ c: z( u4 U  y& x& y
4 @% G- d* J; B1 p( g+ S1 z若是腦經靈活 常常能想出不一樣的方法來解決問題 這點更是重要
0 p. x, w1 L% t9 o: b" Z) j% W4 ^
% D, k4 ~- a  a: \, }: A因為有時候RD寫Code只會照著原本Rule來寫

$ W5 ^' w4 V6 d6 `若是能適時的提點RD 或是在硬體上Cover RD
