8 Q5 v; G2 T( q% m# s8 _之前公司有個FAE離職 剛好小弟我有跟他那組的幾個RD合作過
所以之間都不錯 他們就問我有沒有想要來接FAE的位子

! w. W3 b# X* l  ^; O# N% ?- [他們老闆竟然也說 ok  內轉想來就來壓 我一定說ok的 只要他老闆同意讓他來
/ X: b% s/ n9 h: G/ J雖然心裡當然是想 但是FAE是在做什麼我根本不知道
0 f7 M) P% |  x$ c1 B" ^只知道要去客戶那邊被定(??  因為小弟只是私立後段的學士而已

去那邊不就是死路一條!  還是說可以過去那邊邊做邊學

AE工作內容：

3 Q" p3 e, w$ r0 ]7 q% |$ ]9 O原廠會提供參考線路及檢查要點，這參考線路通常都是由AE來設計，除此之外客戶
也會修改參考線路，所以還要針對客戶修改的線路加以檢查。
2.layout review
原廠也會提供參考的layout及檢查的要點，例如一些高速的匯流排及電源走線
都要特別注意，常常會影響晶片的性能。

現在的IC公司基本上也要提供軟韌體的開發範例，這些範例也是由AE所開發出來的。

教育訓練，原廠AE很多機會對代理商及客戶進行產品訓練及展示。有些時候AE也會與
; ]6 i, c- W0 @, nsales/marketing配合到客戶端去推銷產品。

IC廠會有許多的文件需要撰寫，包含datasheet，使用手冊...等，這些文件也是由AE

AE所需的技能：

根據不同的客戶需求，常常需要開發各種不同的應用，因此常常需要學習新的領域。

2.溝通能力
不同於R&D，AE有很多的時間是在與別人溝通。對內要與sales, marketing, PM, R&D等
溝通，對外要與客戶的R&D, PM或是合作廠商及代理商等溝通。良好的溝通能力會讓你的

無論是台灣或是外國的IC廠商，英語能力都是不可或缺的必備能力。無論是聽說讀寫都

2 d8 D* M* n) r( EAE是第一線的作戰人員，常常有機會會受到客戶或是內部的合理或是不合理責難。這時候
$ E# e2 F/ X1 R) K& M+ i5 B. R良好的EQ會是很重要的一個因素。此外不同於R&D，很多案子常常執行到一半就取消，會
常常有做白工的狀況，適時的調適自己的心情也是很重要的。

通常一個AE同時會要支援數個案子，所以如何有效的管理手上的案子，依照重要性來分配
時間及資源也是很重要的。

AE的背景與出路：

4 I6 E. P# O! E; [* P3 c' ]: y目前觀察到的普遍來說AE的資歷都是比較淺的，很多同事都是在系統廠或是IC廠工作兩到
/ |* F* c, o& H, }  |5 j三年後轉職過來。如果是國外更是常常看到大學剛畢業就去做AE。以AE的工作性質還蠻適
. N# x) I0 G9 E" f合新人來試試看。可以了解IC產業的運作模式，及學習到許多新的知識。
出路：
AE的出路很廣，想往技術方面發展可以轉往系統廠或IC廠做software/hardware的R&D，想
往行銷方面發展也可以轉去做sales/marketing，想往管理方面發展也可以轉去做PM。而且
AE相對來說認識的人面也會比廣，只要做的好轉職會很容易。
, p. U* l9 w/ n+ S薪水：
一般來說AE的薪水在IC廠內是比較低的，一般來說外商的職缺薪水排名會如下：
sales > marketing >= FAE > AE
: }3 U( M6 g0 t& R  d+ x% G  ?$ T不過相對來說外商的AE進入難度也是這些職缺裡面最低的。

那時大學4年肄業 對於本科電子沒興趣 所以毅然決然的就去當兵了

/ j8 w5 G* m+ `( Z# n每天8點前到工地 然後就是帶客戶看屋 驗屋 然後記錄需要改進

或是客戶要求的事項 總之就像是工頭啦

雖然日曬雨林的 有時候中飯時間還會被屋主Call回去看屋

但是由於會接觸到各式各樣的人 其實也算收穫頗多

然後時間到了就國軍Online了

錄取這間公司也算是蠻有趣的一個過程

在面試這間公司的時候 沒考試 就只是跟主管聊天而已

大頭很快的就給了口頭Offer 也就結束這個愉快的面試

FAE做什麼? 我公司大概就是對內 畫電路 對電路 Layout 焊接 和軟韌體溝通及測試

對外的話就是去客戶那邊協助Debug 規畫硬體設計 以及通過相關認證

- E0 k% B  k0 n( E還有就是個人負責項目 主要就這3大類 總之就是打雜的

7 @& P1 a3 r& W+ I我剛進公司的第一年真的就是打雜的 前輩做什麼就跟著做

在旁邊多看多問 或是幫忙做 這樣會上手的很快


FAE不比一般RD只要把Code寫出來就好 會說話會溝通很重要

8 B, w1 t! Z2 c3 ?9 i% c# J" R由於有時候要幫忙Handle RD寫不出來時去跟客戶協調

& N) x5 j4 p6 L3 G  D! G總要想個光明正大的理由讓客戶覺得有在做只是因為...而拖延了

7 S+ A8 T" u* b$ d有時候又要在Sales和RD中間取得平衡 讓雙方都可以接受

因此會交際和實力一樣重要

2 y7 D, C/ K: I7 D7 \0 _9 {有實力不會交際的FAE 只會被交付一些不重要的打雜工作

# ^% u. k" H$ G! _( F或是很賽客戶很刁的案子 要不就是負責的全是一些不重要的產品

因此想步入FAE的 先想想自己的交際能力如何 喇賽功力強不強

FAE需要的專業?

. H8 W4 a2 `& P; X7 X9 @& W: [FAE可以說是最不需要也最需要的工作

零件的工作原理! 如何用最小最便宜的料件去兜成你所需要的電路
# E$ w9 X4 r# ]. A: D/ E4 |% @5 r
9 C5 v( w# q' j4 n) ~* D看的懂SPEC 可以減少很多設計和Debug的時間

專業知識夠的 可以用最少的時間用最適合的料件

專業不夠的用以前的電路去兜 或是用最常見的也都是可以

差別只是在時間和成本 你的老闆重不重視就要看命了!!!

由於 FAE接觸的層面很廣 能學到的東西相對的非常多

7 v+ B* @8 i# ^% p( l1 e/ d: d; l" S2 X+ X看自己要不要去更精進 英文能力好的 看的懂Code的

加上人面廣要Sample時能很快的入手需求料件

以上三點是最主要的發展方向

% o/ D. i) V! Z  E若是腦經靈活 常常能想出不一樣的方法來解決問題 這點更是重要

因為有時候RD寫Code只會照著原本Rule來寫

若是能適時的提點RD 或是在硬體上Cover RD
