第一次聽到IEEE 1588 唉 ??? 什麼碗糕?
大致了解過後，喔 簡單說就是以前NTP(Netowork Time Protocol)的軟體時間解決方案的延伸加強版。使用硬體的方式將時間的精準度提升到1 ms。不僅可以可以在網通產品用，未來任何消費性產品要跨不同國家區域，就可以透過GPS的模組，自動更新時間的資訊，完全不需人為設定來指定時間。

+ {& @* }- h$ R5 {: d* B% M/ ^The IEEE 1588 precision time protocol handles synchronisation in industrial control systems to within less than a microsecond. This timing includes synchronising local clocks in sensors, actuators, and other terminal devices using the same network that also transports process data. The 1588 clock is used in a sensor in one of two ways. It can generate a timestamp at the moment the data is acquired or used as a mechanism to generate the acquisition trigger. Such precise timing is crucial to real time industrial Ethernet.
