RFIC 的ESD保护

RFIC has pins for high frequency application. Such pins have capacitance limitation to prevent from signal power loss. Small capacitance demand results in worse ESD protection capability.
/ Z6 @6 g  r7 N; H# C9 RMixed-mode IC operated in lower frequency range has larger room for better ESD protection design.

Usually, if we use diodes as ESD protection devices, the area is inversely proportional to application frequency. The small diode area results in weak ESD immunity. This is why ESD protection design is harder for RFIC.
Regarding multi-Vdd issue, the choice of power supply of ESD protection circuit is suggested to be the same as the that of core circuit connected to PAD.
