The imaging scientist will be responsible for developing architectures, algorithms, and implementation details for new advanced pixels. N& h' e2 q0 ~2 @* I* R7 k7 r

1. Design and development of image processing algorithms such as demosaicing, denoising, edge-enhancement, bad pixel correction, high dynamic range imaging, adaptive tonal mapping, AE, AWB, AF, still/video image stabilization and other scene analysis based algorithms.
7 u; C5 v- r: q+ h2. Work with an ASIC, CMOS process technology, advanced pixel design teams for optimal implementation.
1 D9 b) q2 Z* e; [) M" d3. Design in machine vision such as statistical pattern classification, neural networking, scene analysis, facial recognition algorithms
# e" |" M8 E a3 C4. Perform system modeling of camera pipeline components, including imagers and digital image processing modules.
7 N# V, Q# T; Z1 e5. Perform signal analysis to evaluate quality of image processing algorithms and systems; Perform analysis and characterization of imaging sensors.

Requirements:
9 Y0 X: B$ j6 ~8 h6 X1. Ph.D. in Imaging Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, or related fields
1 K/ k$ x y" S7 r! Z# R& ]3 l2. In-depth knowledge of camera image processing pipeline 0 I, N8 V! J5 P: u K/ [
3. Proficiency in C, C++ and / or Matlab coding to design and run simulations for complex image pipeline ; @$ j) x1 i0 l1 `, I
4. Background in image processing in related industries, such as digital still camera or surveillance camera is a plus
; K& x3 I& w# o1 X! S5. Knowledge of hardware realization of the algorithms is a big plus
