Setting Up Communication With a Viewer
: c1 V1 o/ p% }7 c& v: jIf you invoke Calibre Interactive from a layout or schematic viewer, communication between( Q/ K/ I7 _3 Q) O# R- Y
the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre) Y1 R, E! f& S
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.4 g& Y( N' a7 P8 n
By default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.
# P$ m e) Z3 R+ S; uYou can change the socket address used by following this procedure:1 L! ~( \/ X0 s G0 y& q! V
1. Open the viewer.
8 Z& B3 N) b7 |0 j! S2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.2 K; m* b/ `: r% s* X
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…
4 i& q' H' p4 H4 f; C3 u) b9 ^. Q5 z4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
