The imaging scientist will be responsible for developing architectures, algorithms, and implementation details for new advanced pixels.

' m- I- {/ C! m- T6 o9 U# Q1. Design and development of image processing algorithms such as demosaicing, denoising, edge-enhancement, bad pixel correction, high dynamic range imaging, adaptive tonal mapping, AE, AWB, AF, still/video image stabilization and other scene analysis based algorithms. * {+ A2 V) d8 N/ M& S
2. Work with an ASIC, CMOS process technology, advanced pixel design teams for optimal implementation.
: I! |/ [3 j9 B- y* r& P3. Design in machine vision such as statistical pattern classification, neural networking, scene analysis, facial recognition algorithms + `6 C4 h* k/ L; w
4. Perform system modeling of camera pipeline components, including imagers and digital image processing modules.
# r/ J Z( t- z Q; X2 D2 X. ]; ^5. Perform signal analysis to evaluate quality of image processing algorithms and systems; Perform analysis and characterization of imaging sensors.

Requirements:
1 X. ~& O- F( R# V) y6 x$ ?; R1. Ph.D. in Imaging Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, or related fields 8 y' [. m2 ?0 R9 s
2. In-depth knowledge of camera image processing pipeline
' C9 k8 G J" T0 Z4 o6 k6 `3. Proficiency in C, C++ and / or Matlab coding to design and run simulations for complex image pipeline * I3 ]; M" E, E( |4 H1 X3 E
4. Background in image processing in related industries, such as digital still camera or surveillance camera is a plus , V6 d: m$ S$ W
5. Knowledge of hardware realization of the algorithms is a big plus # s, Q6 o/ D& Z: _6 Z! C( b! R2 B
6. Team player with good communication and presentation skills.
