Setting Up Communication With a Viewer

the two applications is set up automatically. If you open a viewer after invoking Calibre) c- i8 s/ s' m/ G
Interactive, you can set up communication between the two tools through IPC sockets.
& C9 l& C% }& B- bBy default, Calibre seeks socket 8192, and if that socket is available, connection is automatic.

1. Open the viewer.& Z- O" E: U/ W2 M8 B7 U0 l
2. Activate a socket following the instructions described in the user manual for the layout viewer you have opened.2 \( M3 I2 Z7 a9 Y4 q$ t* H e$ F
3. In Calibre Interactive, choose Setup > Layout Viewer…& D6 a" g* v4 ?
4. Enter the socket number that you activated in the viewer.
